Approach

Impax believes strong investment returns can be generated by investors who better understand the opportunities and risks associated with forces shaping the future, including resource constraints, policy and regulation, technological innovation, and evolving social trends.

These trends are reshaping capital markets: driving growth for well-positioned companies and creating risks for those unable or unwilling to adapt.

Impax's investment approach seeks out high-quality companies and issuers with enduring business models and sound risk management, aiming to deliver strong outcomes for clients over the medium to long term.

ESG

Impax aspires to best practices across all aspects of the management of its listed and private equity investments. Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) considerations are embedded within our rigorous ten step investment process for listed equities. Failure by a company to reach the required ESG score will prevent our investment.

Each investment strategy is supported by a specialised tool which directs capital to companies benefiting from the transition to a more sustainable economy.
Fundamental company ESG analysis is an integral part of the Impax investment process which enables a broader understanding of investee companies.
Stewardship through active ESG engagement and proxy voting are important parts of the investment process.
Impax provides a range of non-financial reporting to clients including proxy voting activity, stewardship/ engagement activity, and environmental impact.

Team

Impax’s highly experienced, multi-disciplinary team has grown organically since inception. The team is made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds, bringing together complementary skills and experience which adds depth to the investment process.
