ASX has announced that it is closing the Managed Fund Settlement Service (mFund)
Important Update on the removal of Funds from mFund
On 28 November 2023, ASX announced its decision to wind down and close the Managed Fund Settlement Service (mFund). Fidante, as the responsible entity for the respective Funds outlined in the notice below, has received approval from ASX to remove the Funds from mFund on Monday 22 September 2025 (mFund Removal Date).
Investors should read the below Continuous Disclosure Notice titled Important update on the removal of Funds from mFund, which details timeline and impacts of the Fund removals. Importantly:
- mFund holders will retain their investment in the relevant Fund, which will be converted from their broker HIN into a direct holding with Fidante (with transactions after 22 September occurring via Challenger Investor - Login.
- Investors are required to complete and return the relevant Identity Verification Form to the Issuer (see details below) to avoid certain restrictions being placed on their account (such as ability to receive units pursuant to a DRP) and to avoid unnecessary delays to the processing of any redemption requests.

mFunds by Fidante
The mFund Settlement Service, was developed by the ASX to enable investors to use an ASX broker when they buy and sell units in unlisted managed funds. It is an electronic processing system of settling transactions of unlisted managed funds through the Clearing House Electronic Subregister System (CHESS) and is designed to replace the traditional paper application process for unlisted managed fund transactions.
